Zeller+Gmelin Showcases Solutions for E-Mobility at Battery Show

Zeller+Gmelin will be represented at the Battery Show Europe in Stuttgart this year. At the trade fair stand E60 in hall 6, new gap filler products for thermal management in electric and hybrid vehicles as well as for charging infrastructures will be presented, among other things. Sustainable speciality lubricants for forming technology and sheet metal processing can also be discovered.

As an established partner to the automotive industry, Zeller+Gmelin is increasingly expanding into the area of e-mobility. For this purpose, the Eislingen company developed innovative thermal management products, including silicone-free gap fillers for battery systems, coolants for direct battery cooling, for temperature control of PEM fuel cells and for use in cooling circuits of vehicles or charging stations.

“Our Divinol Thermosure products are designed to significantly improve the thermal performance in electric vehicles and their charging infrastructures,” explains Christian Stapper, product manager at Zeller+Gmelin, about the trade fair. “Thanks to their advanced properties, they make a significant contribution to preventing overheating and increasing the performance and service life of the electronic components.”

The exhibits presented in Stuttgart include the dielectrical coolant Thermosure BCF 10, which is ideal for direct battery cooling using immersion. With a high thermal conductivity of 0.136 W/mK at 60 °C, it offers reliable heat dissipation and helps prevent overheating.

For applications in battery systems and power electronics, Zeller+Gmelin offers, among other things, the silicone-free System Divinol Thermosure GF28-27. This system is characterized by a high thermal conductivity of 2.8 W/mK and is particularly suitable for automated application, which enables precise and efficient use.

Another highlight of the Thermosure series is the glycol-based coolant Divinol Thermosure FC 40, which was specially developed for temperature control of PEM fuel cells. With a density of 1040 kg/m³ and a low viscosity of 3 mm²/s at 40 °C, it ensures effective cooling and also offers an electrical conductivity of 1.14 ?S/cm at 50 °C.

Ready for quick use in vehicles and charging stations The trade fair range also includes glycol-based coolants with high frost and corrosion protection, which are used in cooling circuits of vehicles, charging stations and other applications. They are free of nitrite, borate, amine, phosphate and 2-ethylhexanoic acid, which makes them particularly environmentally friendly and safe in their respective areas of use.

The product range includes the label-free coolant Divinol Thermosure PG, which is based on propylene glycol and offers optimized copper compatibility. It is available as a ready-to-use mix, which makes it easier to use and ensures greater use efficiency.

For applications that require a blue-coloured solution, Zeller+Gmelin offers the Divinol Thermosure EG Blau coolant. This coolant is based on ethylene glycol and was also developed with optimized copper compatibility. It is also available as a ready-to-use mix.

Finally, Zeller+Gmelin supports the metal and electrical industries with the latest technologies for the production of electric and hybrid vehicles and their components. The experts will present to trade visitors comprehensive solutions for metal processing as well as cleaning media for the production of cylindrical and prismatic cell housings for electrified vehicles.

“From the initial forming to cutting to subsequent cleaning and preservation, we can provide the entire portfolio of products for the production of these cell housings,” emphasizes Christian Stapper. In addition to forming and cutting oils, the product range also includes cleaners as well as hot melts and lubricating greases, which are used in steel and aluminium plants worldwide.

“We are looking forward to presenting our latest technologies to the trade visitors at the Battery Show,” summarizes Christian Stapper. “You can get to know the future of thermal management in e-mobility at stand E60 in hall 6.”
