ACME Solar Holdings has commissioned Phase-III of the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) component of its Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The project has been commissioned through its wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Greentech Seventh Private Limited.
The newly commissioned Phase-III BESS has a discharge capacity of 53.63 MW and an energy storage capacity of 214.52 MWh. With this addition, the subsidiary’s cumulative commissioned BESS capacity has reached 159.58 MW / 638.32 MWh.
The Bikaner FDRE project has a planned total BESS discharge capacity of 300 MW with an energy storage capacity of 1,200 MWh. The project is supported by a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SJVN Limited.
Commercial operations for the newly commissioned Phase-III capacity are scheduled to commence on October 2, 2026.
The latest commissioning follows the completion of earlier phases at the Bikaner project. ACME Solar commissioned Bikaner Phase-II, with a capacity of 52.32 MW / 209.28 MWh, on September 17, 2026. The company had also commissioned Bikaner Phase-I, with a discharge capacity of 53.63 MW, on September 14, 2026.
ACME Solar also commissioned a 53.73 MW / 222.969 MWh Phase-I BESS project in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, on September 30, 2026.
The company’s latest BESS commissioning expands its operational energy storage portfolio and adds to the deployment of utility-scale battery storage capacity for firm and dispatchable renewable power projects in India.
