ADM Solar Power has supplied a total of 200 MW of photovoltaic (PV) modules for a major ground-mounted solar project spanning the western Indian states of Gujarat and Maharashtra. The modules, which include 550 Wp mono PERC bifacial solar panels, are part of a large-scale installation being developed for one of ADM Solar Power’s clients. Of the total capacity, 120 MW has already been delivered to project sites in Gujarat, while the remaining 80 MW has been supplied to Maharashtra.
Designed for utility-scale applications, the bifacial modules offer a rated efficiency of up to 21.5 percent. The bifacial design allows the panels to generate power from both the front and rear sides, leveraging reflected sunlight to increase overall energy yields. This feature is particularly beneficial in ground-mounted solar projects where reflective surfaces, such as light-colored soil or mounting structures, can enhance rear-side generation.
Bifacial solar modules are increasingly being adopted in large solar parks in Gujarat and Maharashtra due to their potential to improve plant performance and reduce the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE). The latest supply by ADM Solar Power adds to the growing deployment of high-capacity solar PV modules across India, as developers aim to accelerate installations in line with national renewable energy targets and rising power demand.
Western states, in particular, continue to play a key role in India’s solar expansion because of their abundant land availability, high solar irradiance, and established transmission infrastructure. Large ground-mounted projects in these regions remain central to meeting the country’s ambitious renewable energy goals, while also supporting grid stability and reducing reliance on conventional fossil fuel-based power generation.
With this delivery, ADM Solar Power reinforces its position as a leading supplier of high-capacity solar PV modules for utility-scale projects, contributing to India’s ongoing energy transition and sustainable growth in the renewable energy sector.
