Endurance Technologies Limited has announced a strategic investment of ₹47.3 crore to establish a greenfield lithium-ion battery pack manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra. This move marks a significant step in the company’s vision to support India’s transition towards cleaner and more sustainable mobility solutions.
According to a regulatory filing submitted to the BSE and NSE under Regulation 30 of SEBI LODR, the facility will be set up at Mindewadi, Taluka Maval, and will manufacture various configurations of lithium-ion battery packs. These will cater to mobility applications such as electric vehicles, as well as battery energy storage systems.
The facility is expected to roll out production in phases, with a total capacity of 35,000 battery packs per month once fully operational. The initial product launch is scheduled for January 2026, starting from Q4 of FY2025–26. The entire investment will be funded through internal accruals.
This new initiative builds upon the expertise of Endurance’s subsidiary, Maxwell Energy Systems Pvt. Ltd., which currently designs and supplies battery management systems (BMS) for a range of applications. The new battery packs will complement Maxwell’s offerings and strengthen Endurance’s footprint in the electric mobility ecosystem.
The company emphasized that this expansion is a deliberate move to enter the fast-growing energy storage space, aiming to promote sustainability and energy security in India. Initially, the products will be supplied exclusively to the domestic market, but the facility has the potential to scale up in response to future market demands.
With this investment, Endurance Technologies reaffirms its commitment to building a greener future and contributing to India’s EV and renewable energy goals.
