Himachal Floats Solar Battery Project Tender in Solan

Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL) has invited bids for the development of a 9 MW solar photovoltaic project integrated with a 6.3 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Dabhota in Solan district.

The project is designed as a solar-plus-storage hybrid system, comprising 9 MW (AC) solar capacity along with a 3.15 MW / 6.3 MWh battery storage system, aimed at ensuring reliable and dispatchable renewable power.

Project Scope

The tender covers complete engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the project, including:

  • Design, engineering, and project planning
  • Supply of solar and BESS components
  • Installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Grid connectivity and system integration
  • Comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) for 15 years
