Indian Green & Battery Stocks Roundup – September 29

Battery and green energy sector stocks displayed a mixed performance on June 20, with selective buying evident in a few counters, even as broader investor caution kept several stocks under pressure. Market movement was largely range-bound, reflecting both global headwinds and sector-specific sentiment.

HBL Engineering led the gainers with a solid rise of 2.64%, closing at ₹578.4, likely fueled by investor optimism around energy infrastructure projects and strong institutional interest. Waaree Technologies also maintained positive momentum, gaining 2.00% to ₹289.7 amid continued enthusiasm in the solar energy space.

Panasonic Energy India ended the day with a modest 0.50% gain at ₹391, suggesting some degree of accumulation in legacy energy stocks despite overall market hesitancy.

On the flip side, High Energy Batterie saw the steepest decline, dropping 2.14% to ₹681.35, possibly due to profit booking after recent sessions of strength. Amara Raja Energy also slipped 1.59%, closing at ₹970.5, indicating continued volatility in large-cap battery counters.

Other laggards included CLN Engineering Ltd. and Exide Industries, both of which declined 1.47%, mirroring the cautious sentiment among investors. Tata Power also lost ground, closing 1.44% lower at ₹390.1, while Indo-National fell 1.31% to ₹466.6.

Eveready Industries India was relatively stable, ending just 0.14% lower at ₹320, suggesting muted trading interest.

Overall, June 20 battery stocks showcased another day of stock-specific activity in the green and battery segments, with buyers returning selectively to quality names even as many counters struggled to hold gains. Broader cues and upcoming policy signals remain key to determining the short-term trajectory of these stocks.
