Indian Green & Battery Stocks Roundup – September 29

Battery and green energy stocks traded with a negative bias on August 05, as investor sentiment turned cautious amid profit booking and broader market consolidation. While Panasonic Energy India led the gainers with a 1.32% rise to close at ₹374.9, High Energy Batteries plunged 3.59% to ₹570, continuing its downward trajectory from last week.

CLN Energy Ltd. dropped 1.51% to ₹512.15, reversing its previous gains. Eveready Industries plummeted last week and lost 1.85% and closed at ₹399.55, probably due to profit booking in the very short term. Other decliners included Exide Industries (-1.55%), Indo-National (-1.09%), and also Amara Raja Energy (-0.63) and a lot of uncertainty and caution around margin pressure.

HBL Engineering Ltd. held its ground with a small gain of 0.13%, while Waaree Technologies held its ground with a slight decline of 0.07%. Tata Power declined too at 0.40%, which is a continued decline after last week’s slow correction.

Though much erraticism and volatility have been observed lately, battery and green energy stocks continue to play a huge part in India’s clean energy roadmap, especially with the PLI scheme’s vision to create more electric vehicle infrastructure, battery recycling, and gigafactories.
