The Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA) has come on board as a Supporting Partner for the Global Cleantech Expo – Odisha 2026. The two-day event will take place on 20–21 February 2026 at the IDCO Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar and is positioned as Eastern India’s largest exhibition focused on clean energy and sustainable mobility.
The Expo’s goal is to get together industry leaders, policymakers, technology providers, investors, and innovators to talk about how to speed up India’s shift to clean energy. It will show off new technologies in renewable energy, storing energy, electric vehicles, green hydrogen, and infrastructure that lasts. There will also be talks on the platform about policy support, the growth of domestic manufacturing, and how ready the grid is to handle more renewable energy.
As the apex body representing wind turbine manufacturers in India, IWTMA’s participation highlights the growing importance of wind energy in strengthening the country’s renewable energy ecosystem. This is especially relevant for emerging markets like Eastern India, where wind and hybrid energy potential remains largely untapped.
The Expo will provide an opportunity to emphasise the role of wind power in ensuring balanced and round-the-clock renewable energy supply, while also supporting grid stability. With hybrid and storage-integrated solutions gaining attention, wind energy is expected to play a key role in meeting India’s long-term climate and energy goals.
Speaking on the association, Aditya Pyasi, CEO of IWTMA, said, “India’s renewable energy ambitions require a diversified and balanced approach. Wind energy will play a critical role in delivering reliable, scalable, and cost-effective clean power, particularly as we move towards hybrid and storage-integrated solutions. Platforms such as the Global Cleantech Expo – Odisha enable meaningful dialogue between industry and policymakers, helping unlock regional potential and strengthen India’s domestic manufacturing ecosystem.”
Eastern India is witnessing improvements in transmission infrastructure and a growing industrial demand for green power. As India works toward its 2030 renewable energy targets, collaborative platforms like this Expo are seen as important in aligning industry, policy, and investment priorities.
IWTMA’s role as Supporting Partner reflects its continued commitment to promoting wind energy deployment, boosting indigenised manufacturing, and contributing to policy discussions that support India’s long-term decarbonisation and energy security objectives.
