KPI Green Energy Limited has energised an additional 130 MW AC / 195 MW DC of solar capacity under its 370 MW AC / 677 MW DC Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project in Bharuch, Gujarat.
The project is being developed by KPI Green Energy as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). With the latest addition, the company’s total energised capacity under the project has reached 269.7 MW AC / 389.7 MW DC.
The latest commissioning marks another step in KPI Green Energy’s expansion of its IPP portfolio while the company continues to scale its engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) business. The progressive energisation of projects backed by long-term PPAs is expected to strengthen the company’s recurring revenue visibility and contracted renewable energy portfolio.
KPI Green Energy’s total IPP portfolio currently stands at around 2.17 GWp, with the remaining capacity under execution and scheduled to be commissioned in phases.
Earlier, the company had energised an additional 376 MWp across its IPP portfolio. This included around 182 MWp of solar capacity under its GUVNL 250/350 MWp project, along with approximately 164 MWp of solar and 30 MW of wind capacity under the GUVNL 370 MW/677 MWp hybrid project.
KPI Green Energy has also commissioned a 92.15 MWp hybrid project under a long-term PPA with GUVNL. The project comprises 16.95 MW of wind capacity and 75.2 MWp of solar capacity and began power injection ahead of its scheduled July 2026 commercial operation date.
The 92.15 MWp project is part of KPI Green Energy’s broader 620 MW / 1,027 MWp solar and hybrid renewable energy IPP portfolio. The company continues to expand its contracted renewable energy assets, with phased project commissioning expected to support long-term revenue growth while it simultaneously strengthens its EPC operations.
