Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) has appointed Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Duggempudi as Chief Executive Officer (Power), bringing more than three decades of experience in the power and infrastructure sector to the company’s leadership team.
In his new role, Duggempudi will lead MEIL’s power business, focusing on strengthening operations, driving project execution and supporting the company’s long-term growth strategy. His expertise spans power generation, business strategy, operational excellence and the execution of large-scale energy and infrastructure projects.
Before joining MEIL, Duggempudi served as Chief Executive Officer at Jindal India Power Ltd., where he was responsible for strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the company’s power generation business. His previous leadership roles include President at NSL Power & Infratech Limited, General Manager at KSK Energy Ventures Ltd., General Manager at Tata Steel BSL (formerly Bhushan Steel Ltd.), Manager – Power Division at Tata Projects, and Manager – Power Division at Thermax Limited.
Across his career, Duggempudi has worked on large-scale power and infrastructure projects and has been involved in business transformation, complex energy operations and efforts to improve operational performance. His experience across various organisations is expected to support MEIL as it continues to expand and strengthen its presence in India’s power and energy sector.
The appointment comes as India’s energy landscape continues to evolve, with growing demand for reliable power infrastructure alongside the expansion of renewable energy, energy storage and other clean energy technologies. MEIL’s power business is expected to play an important role in responding to these changing requirements.
With his extensive industry experience and leadership background, Duggempudi is expected to contribute to MEIL’s strategic priorities and help advance its power business. His appointment also reflects the company’s focus on strengthening its leadership capabilities as it pursues new opportunities across the energy and infrastructure sectors.
