NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, has issued a tender for the Balance of System (BoS) package for a 200 MW grid-connected solar PV project in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
According to the official bidding document , the tender (IFB No.: NRE-CS-5800-004(BOS2)-9) was released on April 2, 2026, under a domestic competitive bidding process.
Project Scope & Key Highlights
The scope of work under this tender is extensive and covers the complete execution of the solar plant excluding PV module supply. It includes:
- Design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar PV plant
- Site development activities such as grading, surveys, and geotechnical investigations
- Installation of tracker-based module mounting structures (MMS)
- Construction of inverter rooms, electrical systems, and grid interconnection infrastructure
- Power evacuation up to 33 kV pooling substation
- Deployment of SCADA systems and weather monitoring stations
- Installation of CCTV surveillance systems and module cleaning systems
- Development of internal roads, drainage, and associated civil works
- Comprehensive O&M for 3 years post commissioning
- Supply of mandatory spares

Experience in executing ≥40 MW solar projects, including at least one ≥10 MW project
Alternatively, EPC experience in large industrial or power projects
Additional requirement: Execution of 33 kV or higher substation infrastructure
