Oyster Renewable Energy and Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited have announced the development of a 31.6 MW hybrid renewable energy project in Kadapa district of India.
The project will combine 21.6 MW of wind power and 10 MW of solar capacity, designed to provide stable and clean energy for industrial use. It is aimed at supporting Dalmia Cement’s sustainability goals while reducing carbon emissions from its operations.
Developed with an investment of around ₹270 crore, the hybrid plant is expected to help cut nearly 70,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually and is likely to be commissioned in 2027.
The project is part of a growing trend of industrial companies in India adopting captive renewable energy solutions to meet sustainability targets and reduce reliance on conventional power sources.
