POWERCON Group appoints Ravindra Chauhan

Renewable energy company POWERCON Group has appointed Ravindra Chauhan as Senior Management Officer (SMO) – Business Development, strengthening its commercial leadership as the company expands its operations in India’s renewable energy market.

Chauhan brings 22 years of experience in the wind energy and engineering sectors, with expertise in business development, strategic customer engagement, engineering services, and operations and maintenance.

Before joining POWERCON Group, Chauhan held senior roles at Suzlon, Senvion and InoxWind, where he worked on business expansion and the management of large-scale renewable energy portfolios.

In his new role, Chauhan will be responsible for supporting POWERCON Group’s business development initiatives, strengthening customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and expanding the company’s presence across India’s renewable energy sector.

Commenting on the appointment, Chauhan said he was pleased to join POWERCON Group and would use his industry experience to contribute to the company’s growth and create greater value for renewable energy asset owners.

Manoj Sonawane, Chief Growth & Resolution Officer at POWERCON Group, welcomed Chauhan, saying his industry experience and understanding of the renewable energy sector would add strength to the company’s leadership team.

POWERCON Group is currently executing full turnkey wind projects in Maharashtra and Karnataka, covering activities across the project lifecycle, including concept development, feasibility studies, design and engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.

The move comes as POWERCON Group seeks to expand its capabilities beyond renewable energy project development and take on a larger end-to-end role in the execution and operation of renewable energy assets.

The appointment is expected to support the company’s efforts to deepen customer engagement and identify new opportunities as India’s wind and broader renewable energy markets continue to expand.
