ReNew has announced the elevation of Chandra Kant Mishra to Assistant General Manager – Strategy and New Business, reinforcing its leadership team as the company continues to expand its footprint in renewable energy and emerging clean energy technologies. The appointment reflects ReNew’s strategic focus on strengthening its business development capabilities while accelerating growth in key areas such as green hydrogen and integrated renewable energy solutions.

In his new role, Chandra Kant Mishra will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, identifying new business opportunities, supporting corporate growth strategies, and contributing to the company’s long-term expansion plans. He will work closely with leadership teams to strengthen ReNew’s presence in existing markets while exploring opportunities in emerging segments of the clean energy value chain.

Before assuming his new position, Mishra served as Senior Manager – Green Hydrogen at ReNew, where he played an important role in advancing the company’s green hydrogen initiatives. During his tenure, he contributed to strategic planning, project execution, and the development of solutions supporting India’s transition towards low-carbon energy systems. His experience in renewable energy project planning and operational management has enabled him to build a strong understanding of the rapidly evolving clean energy landscape.

Prior to joining ReNew, Mishra held leadership roles at Evergreen Renewables and RE-Force Management Services Pvt. Ltd. (formerly WindForce Management Services Pvt. Ltd.). Across these organizations, he gained extensive expertise in renewable energy operations, business development, project planning, and strategy execution. His professional experience spans multiple renewable energy technologies, allowing him to contribute to large-scale clean energy projects and business expansion initiatives.

The elevation comes at a time when ReNew continues to strengthen its portfolio across solar, wind, battery energy storage, and green hydrogen, supporting India’s ambitious clean energy and decarbonization goals. As demand for integrated renewable energy solutions grows, the company is increasingly focusing on innovation, strategic partnerships, and the development of new business opportunities across domestic and global markets.

With India’s renewable energy sector witnessing significant investments in energy storage, green hydrogen, and grid modernization, experienced leaders are expected to play a crucial role in shaping the industry’s next phase of growth. In his expanded leadership position, Chandra Kant Mishra is expected to support ReNew’s efforts to develop future-ready energy solutions, strengthen strategic planning, and accelerate the company’s business expansion.

His promotion also highlights ReNew’s commitment to recognising internal talent and building a leadership pipeline capable of driving innovation and sustainable growth. As the company continues to diversify its clean energy portfolio, Mishra’s expertise in strategy, renewable energy operations, and green hydrogen is expected to contribute significantly to ReNew’s long-term vision of supporting India’s energy transition.
