Replus Boosts Battery Production with New 6GWh Plant

Replus, a key player in battery manufacturing and a part of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, has announced a significant expansion of its production capacity. The company plans to scale up from its existing 1GWh facility to a 6GWh plant within the next year. This move aims to meet the rising demand in India’s EV and energy storage sectors by integrating advanced battery technologies for improved efficiency and performance.

Replus’ expanded 6GWh facility will integrate advanced automation and AI-driven manufacturing to boost efficiency and sustainability while reducing its carbon footprint. The plant will support multiple battery chemistries, including high-energy density cells, blade cells, and emerging technologies like Na-ion, LMFP, and LTO. The new production line will cater to a wide range of EVs, from passenger cars to commercial vehicles, along with large-scale renewable energy storage solutions featuring liquid-cooled battery systems.

On this occasion, Riju Jhunjhunwala, Vice Chairman of LNJ Bhilwara Group, stated, “At LNJ Bhilwara Group, we have always been at the forefront of advancing clean energy technologies across our diverse business ventures. The expansion of the Replus plant to 6GWh marks a significant milestone in our commitment to driving India’s sustainable growth and energy transition.”

Hiren Pravin Shah, Managing Director & CEO of Replus, added, “With this expansion, Replus is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of energy storage globally. By integrating high-speed automation and next-generation battery technologies, we are committed to delivering industry-leading products for EVs and ESS applications.”

Founded in 2019, Replus Engitech Private Limited is a technology-driven manufacturing startup recognized by the Government of India’s DPIIT. A subsidiary of Bhilwara Energy Limited, the company has established a strong presence in the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) market. With a track record of 70MWh in BESS projects, Replus continues to expand its operations, securing confirmed orders for 600MWh of BESS projects and 300MWh of EV battery packs to support various energy and power applications.
