Sunsure Energy has started delivering clean solar power to Max Healthcare Institute’s Super Speciality Hospital in Sector‑128, Noida, under a long‑term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The electricity will be sourced from Sunsure’s 15 MW solar plant in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh, providing a reliable and cost‑effective renewable energy supply to the hospital.
The deal will help Max Healthcare save a lot of money on energy costs. Compared to electricity from the grid, solar power is expected to cut costs by about half. This change also helps the hospital become less reliant on traditional sources of power and do a better job of being more environmentally friendly.
Sunsure thinks that switching to solar energy will help Max Healthcare cut down on about 4,500 tons of CO₂ emissions every year, which is more than 1.13 lakh tons of CO₂ over the life of the project.
Shashank Sharma, Founder, CEO & Chairman of Sunsure Energy, said, “Healthcare represents one of the most critical and energy‑intensive sectors in India. While we have been serving pharmaceutical manufacturing giants, we are delighted that this is our first project in supplying reliable green power to hospitals. Enabling its transition to clean energy is both a responsibility and an opportunity.”
Sunsure Energy is reaching this milestone as it continues to grow in Uttar Pradesh through its “UP Shakti” program. The company has already started several solar projects in the state and plans to increase its operational capacity even more in the next year.
The project shows a trend that is becoming more common in India’s renewable energy sector: signing big solar PPAs with important infrastructure organizations to encourage cleaner, cheaper energy use.
