Tata Power EZ Charge has inaugurated a new electric vehicle (EV) charging hub at New Mahakali Nagar, Malvani, Malad West, Mumbai, adding high-capacity charging infrastructure for individual EV owners and fleet operators. The company shared the development as part of its ongoing expansion of EV charging infrastructure in Maharashtra.
The newly commissioned facility features four high-capacity chargers, comprising one 120 kW fast charger and three 60 kW chargers. The three 60 kW chargers can be upgraded to 120 kW, providing scope for increased charging capacity as demand grows. All four chargers support the CCS2 charging standard and are equipped with auto-charging functionality.
The charging hub has eight dedicated parking bays and operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The facility does not levy parking charges and is designed to serve both individual EV users and commercial fleet operators. Its location in Malvani, Malad West, also provides charging access to commuters and fleet vehicles operating through the area, including those travelling near Mindspace Business Park and Infinity Mall.
With the addition of the Malad facility, Tata Power EZ Charge’s network has expanded to more than 2,400 charging points across Maharashtra, including over 1,800 charging points across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
EV users can use the Tata Power EZ Charge platform to locate charging stations, check charger availability in real time and make payments. Tata Power’s national EZ Charge network also includes home, public, captive and electric-bus charging infrastructure across multiple cities and towns.
The new Malad charging hub adds further fast-charging capacity to Mumbai’s EV infrastructure and expands access to CCS2-compatible charging for both private and commercial electric vehicles.
