Terra Charge Deploys First EV Charging Hub in Bhopal

Terra Charge, in association with the Airports Authority of India (AAI), inaugurated a charging hub at Raja Bhoj International Airport in Bhopal, to increase EV accessibility in the region. The inauguration ceremony was held in the airport’s parking area, and was attended by the Terra Charge team and key representatives from AAI.

The new 75-square-meter charging hub is already live and can accommodate four electric vehicles simultaneously. It is equipped with one Japanese-technology-powered slow charger and one 30 kW fast charger to support the unique charging needs of public and commercial fleet vehicles. Through this project, Terra Charge aims to expand Bhopal’s charging network and enhance charging convenience for EV owners in the city.

During the event, Apurba Das Mohapatra, Business Director of Terra Charge, addressed the guests, saying, “Our collaboration with AAI symbolises a shared commitment to sustainable development. As India’s aviation backbone, AAI plays a huge role in shaping modern infrastructure and development. At Terra Charge, we feel honoured to support AAI’s progressive vision by introducing advanced e-mobility solutions at a key location like the Bhopal airport.”

In his speech, he thanked the AAI officials and all stakeholders, including Ramjee Awasthi, Airport Director; K.P.S. Sikarwar, AGM Commercial; and Nidhi Shrivastava, Manager Commercial, for facilitating the initiative. “I am confident our joint efforts will not only serve EV owners in Bhopal but also encourage more people to switch to electric vehicles,” he added.
