Vikram Solar, a leading manufacturer of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules in India, has partnered with L&T Construction through a large tender to supply 336 megawatts (MW) of high-efficiency solar modules for deployment in Khavda, Gujarat. The modules, part of Vikram Solar’s advanced N-type technology Hypersol G12R line, feature enhanced performance attributes such as up to 80% bifaciality, superior high-temperature tolerance, and reduced annual degradation (≤0.4%). These advanced features will significantly improve Balance-of-System (BOS) effectiveness and lower the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), making solar power more affordable and scalable.
One of the largest solar projects in India is Khavda Renewable Energy Park, which still grants significant investments and technological development. Gujarat is on the edge of the national renewable energy revolution, setting the world standards in the field of solar capacity implementation.
Commenting on the development
Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman & Managing Director of Vikram Solar, said, “We are delighted to contribute to this landmark project. The region holds immense potential for solar energy, and this project will play a pivotal role in harnessing that opportunity. Each project we deliver is a testament to the trust placed in Vikram Solar’s technology, performance, and commitment to excellence.”
This is the most recent order after Vikram Solar had successfully secured a 326 MW module supply deal with Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) in May 2025 to supply the same renewable energy park. Through this new achievement, Vikram Solar will further cement its presence in the clean energy transition of India, which is both innovative and implementative to ensure that the country has sufficient power requirements that are sustainable.
