WAAREE and POWERTRAC have launched the WAAREE FLS Kit, an integrated solar solution designed for 11 kV feeder-level solarisation projects in India. The partnership aims to simplify the execution of ground-mounted distributed solar projects by bringing key equipment and electrical components together under a single WAAREE-branded offering.
The solution is intended for projects under the Distributed Renewable Energy Business Programme (DREBP), the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme, distribution companies (DISCOMs) and utility-scale distributed solar developments.
According to POWERTRAC’s announcement, the kit combines domestic content requirement (DCR) solar modules, inverters, transformers, module mounting structures (MMS), balance of system (BOS) components, plant electricals and other associated equipment. By coordinating these components within one integrated package, the companies aim to reduce the complexity of sourcing and coordinating multiple suppliers during project implementation.
The initiative addresses a practical challenge for distributed solar developers and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors: managing several equipment vendors, procurement schedules and technical requirements for a single project. An integrated offering could help streamline procurement, improve coordination between project components and support more efficient execution. Actual improvements in delivery timelines and project costs will depend on the kit’s commercial terms, supply arrangements and implementation.
The kit was unveiled at a launch event held on 8 October 2026 at Club O7, The Forum, Inperia, Ahmedabad, according to POWERTRAC. An industry participant subsequently reported that more than 100 developers and EPC contractors attended the event, with participation focused on projects under DREBP and PM-KUSUM in Gujarat.
Feeder-level solarisation is an important part of India’s effort to expand decentralised renewable energy and reduce the dependence of agricultural power supply on conventional electricity sources. Under Component C of PM-KUSUM, feeder-level solarisation enables agricultural feeders to be supplied with solar power through appropriately configured projects.
The WAAREE–POWERTRAC partnership seeks to support this segment by offering a coordinated package of equipment for ground-mounted installations. Its practical significance will depend on how effectively the integrated solution addresses project-specific technical requirements, procurement needs and commissioning schedules.
With distributed solar projects requiring coordination across multiple equipment categories, the WAAREE FLS Kit represents an effort to simplify project delivery through a more consolidated supply approach. Its adoption and performance in upcoming installations will determine its wider contribution to India’s feeder-level solarisation programme.
