XAVOLT Energy Signs MoU with DRIIV to Advance Affordable Battery Energy Storage Solutions

XAVOLT Energy Pvt. Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DRIIV (Delhi Research Implementation and Innovation), marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration aimed at accelerating innovation in battery energy storage and supporting India’s clean energy transition.

The partnership seeks to address one of the most pressing challenges in the renewable energy sector—affordable and scalable energy storage. While India has significantly expanded its renewable energy capacity, the lack of cost-effective battery storage solutions continues to limit the efficient utilization of clean power.

Announcing the collaboration, XAVOLT Energy described the MoU as the start of a long-term journey focused on developing practical and accessible energy storage technologies for Indian consumers.

The company said its vision is to make clean, reliable electricity affordable for households by reducing the cost of home battery systems. As renewable energy generation continues to grow across the country, battery energy storage is expected to play a crucial role in balancing electricity supply, improving grid stability, and enabling greater adoption of solar and other renewable energy sources.

According to XAVOLT, affordable battery storage remains one of the biggest barriers to widespread clean energy adoption. The company aims to develop solutions that make energy storage more economical without compromising performance or reliability, allowing households and businesses to benefit from uninterrupted and sustainable power.

The collaboration with DRIIV is expected to strengthen research, innovation, and technology development in the battery storage sector. By bringing together industry expertise and research capabilities, both organizations intend to explore next-generation energy storage solutions that can support India’s rapidly evolving power ecosystem.

XAVOLT also acknowledged the support of Krishna Kumar Gaur, Head – Institutional Relations (IR), DRIIV and the DRIIV team for their confidence in the company’s vision. The company said the trust and guidance received from DRIIV would help accelerate its efforts to build affordable battery technologies and expand their impact in the clean energy sector.

The company further expressed appreciation for its employees, recognizing the team’s commitment and perseverance in pursuing innovative battery storage solutions despite various challenges.

India’s energy storage market is expected to witness substantial growth over the coming years as the country increases the share of renewable energy in its electricity mix. Government initiatives promoting Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), coupled with declining battery costs and rising electricity demand, are creating new opportunities for technology developers and manufacturers.

Industry experts believe collaborations between startups, research institutions, and innovation ecosystems will be critical in advancing indigenous battery technologies and reducing dependence on imported energy storage solutions.

With the signing of the MoU, XAVOLT Energy and DRIIV aim to contribute to India’s clean energy ambitions by developing affordable, scalable, and reliable battery storage solutions. The partnership is expected to support innovation in the sector while helping make renewable energy more accessible to homes and businesses across the country.
