ACME Solar has appointed Auneesh Chandra Shukla as General Manager – Construction Head (ISTS-BESS), reinforcing its leadership team as the company accelerates the development of large-scale renewable energy and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across India.
With over two decades of experience in renewable energy, project development, and infrastructure execution, Auneesh brings extensive expertise in delivering utility-scale solar, hybrid, and grid-connected renewable energy projects. In his new role, he will lead the construction and execution of ACME Solar’s Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, supporting the company’s expanding clean energy portfolio.
Throughout his career, Auneesh has overseen the development, construction, commissioning, and operational management of large renewable energy assets. His experience spans construction management, project execution, contract administration, stakeholder engagement, resource planning, regulatory compliance, commissioning, and operational excellence.
Before joining ACME Solar, he held key leadership positions at Aditya Birla Renewables Limited, Juniper Green Energy, UPC Renewables India, PLS Green Power Private Limited, Vikram Solar, Harsha Abakus Solar Division of Harsha Engineers International Limited, Sukhbir Agro Energy Ltd. (SAEL), Moser Baer India Ltd., and Ashish Electrical Works.
During his career, Auneesh has played a pivotal role in delivering several landmark renewable energy projects across India, including utility-scale solar power plants, hybrid renewable energy projects, transmission infrastructure, and grid-connected clean energy installations. He has successfully managed projects ranging from rooftop solar systems to multi-hundred-megawatt renewable energy facilities, demonstrating strong technical expertise and leadership in complex infrastructure development.
His appointment comes as battery energy storage systems gain increasing importance in India’s renewable energy transition, enabling greater integration of solar and wind power while enhancing grid stability and reliability. With his extensive project execution experience, Auneesh is expected to play a key role in advancing ACME Solar’s energy storage initiatives and supporting the company’s long-term growth strategy in utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage infrastructure.
