ACME Solar Bags 450 MW/1,800 MWh FDRE Contract from SJVN Limited at ₹6.75/kWh

ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has secured a landmark contract in India’s evolving renewable energy sector. The company has been awarded a 450 MW capacity under the FDRE-IV tender issued by SJVN Limited, corresponding to 1,800 MWh assured energy supply (450 MW × 4 hours) each day during peak demand periods.

The award was achieved at a tariff of ₹6.75 per kWh for a tenure of 25 years.

The tender process followed Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) guidelines and an e-reverse auction held on October 9, 2025, with the Letter of Award (LoA) issued on November 10, 2025. Under the terms of the contract, ACME Solar will deliver 4 MWh of energy per MW of installed capacity during any four-hour daily window within the peak demand period, maintaining a minimum availability of 90% on a monthly basis.

To meet the supply obligation, ACME Solar plans to integrate approximately 300 MW of solar generation capacity with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) of around 1,800 MWh. The project is expected to leverage ACME’s night-time connectivity in high‐irradiation zones in Rajasthan, thereby optimising transmission utilisation and project economics.

Notably, this will be ACME Solar’s first project utilising Indian-made solar cells listed under the ALMM List-II, aligning with the government’s push for domestic manufacturing in the renewable & storage ecosystem.

ACME Solar’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Rahula Kashyapa, commented:

“Securing the SJVN FDRE-IV project with peak-power delivery effectively utilises our night-time transmission capacity, enabling early revenue realisation. This is the lowest price achieved in a pure peak-power tender so far.”

The contract win underscores ACME Solar’s growing strength in the firm-and-dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) segment — a critical component of India’s shift from purely intermittent renewable generation to grid-flexible, round-the-clock clean power supply. The project will significantly bolster the company’s portfolio in solar, storage and hybrid energy solutions.
