ADM Solar has partnered with the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) to implement a 3 MWp solar rooftop and car parking solarization project across seven Namo Bharat railway stations along the Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut corridor. The initiative supports clean energy adoption in India’s first semi-high-speed regional rail system and strengthens the use of renewable power in critical public transport infrastructure.
The stations covered under the project include Sarai Kale Khan, Jangpura, and New Ashok Nagar in Delhi; Pratappur and Shatabdi Nagar in Meerut; Rithani in Ghaziabad; and Modupuram in Modinagar. These stations form part of the Namo Bharat Corridor, which aims to enhance regional connectivity across the National Capital Region.
The project is being executed under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model, enabling NCRTC to adopt solar power without any upfront capital investment. Under this arrangement, ADM Solar has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with NCRTC and will be responsible for the complete project lifecycle. This includes design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and long-term operation and maintenance of the solar assets throughout the contract period.
For the installation, ADM Solar will deploy advanced 550Wp mono-facial solar photovoltaic modules. The project combines rooftop solar installations with car parking solar structures, allowing optimal utilization of available space while generating electricity close to the point of consumption.
Once commissioned, the 3 MWp solar system is expected to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of Namo Bharat operations and lower dependence on conventional grid power. The project is also expected to deliver long-term cost savings for NCRTC over its operational life.
The initiative highlights NCRTC’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure development and clean mobility. It also underscores ADM Solar’s capability to deliver large-scale, long-term solar solutions for government and institutional clients, contributing to India’s broader renewable energy and climate goals.
