Avaada Group has elevated Altaf Tamboli to the position of Vice President, recognising his extensive experience in renewable energy project development and execution. Tamboli has been associated with the company for more than 15 years and has held several leadership positions during his tenure.
Before his latest elevation, Tamboli served in roles including Assistant Vice President, Senior General Manager, and General Manager at Avaada Group. Over the years, he has been involved in the development and execution of utility-scale wind and solar projects across India.
His responsibilities have covered multiple aspects of renewable energy project development, including project planning and execution, land acquisition, regulatory affairs, power evacuation, policy advocacy, and stakeholder management. His experience spans the different stages involved in developing large-scale renewable energy projects.
Prior to joining Avaada Group, Tamboli held several technical and managerial positions across the energy and research sectors. He served as Senior Technical Manager at KSK Energy Ventures Ltd., Manager at WinWinD Power Energy Private Limited, and Manager at Suzlon Group.
He also worked as an Associate Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, where he developed expertise in areas related to wind analysis and climate modelling.
Tamboli’s professional background combines renewable energy project execution with technical expertise in wind and climate-related research. His experience across project development, construction, regulatory coordination, and stakeholder engagement has contributed to his progression through various leadership roles at Avaada Group.
The elevation comes as renewable energy companies continue to expand utility-scale solar and wind projects across India, requiring expertise across project development, infrastructure planning, regulatory processes, and execution. Tamboli’s expanded role at Avaada Group will draw on his experience across these areas as the company continues its renewable energy activities.
