B Mukherjee Elevated to Head HR and Joint President at Hindalco Industries

B Mukherjee Elevated to Head HR and Joint President at Hindalco Industries

B Mukherjee has been elevated to the role of Head HR and Joint President (Mining & Minerals Business) at Hindalco Industries Limited, a flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group. In his expanded leadership position, he will oversee the overall human capital strategy for the Mining and Minerals vertical.

Expanded Leadership Responsibilities

Mukherjee’s new job will be to make sure that the company is doing its best and to handle large-scale industrial relations in important operational areas. His leadership will also be focused on creating a work culture that encourages high performance in major hubs like Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.

Extensive Experience Across the Group

A veteran of the Aditya Birla Group, Mukherjee brings over 25 years of experience in human resources, particularly within complex industrial and manufacturing environments. He has spent more than two decades working with Hindalco and Grasim Industries Limited, progressing from an Assistant Manager to a senior executive leadership role.

His career began at Exide Industries Limited, where he joined as a Management Trainee, laying the foundation for his expertise in HR management.

Mukherjee is known for his strong capabilities in managing human resources for large-scale operations and aligning HR strategies with business goals.

Driving HR Strategy for Mining & Minerals Business

Mukherjee will be in charge of Hindalco’s Mining & Minerals Business’s HR department in his new role. His main goals will be to improve the efficiency of the workforce and the performance of the organization. His deep knowledge of institutions and proven ability to lead HR transformation are expected to help the company grow and do a great job.

Mukherjee’s promotion shows that the group is focused on improving leadership in its core business areas. He has a lot of experience building scalable HR frameworks and managing large teams. His job will be very important in making sure that Hindalco’s long-term strategic goals are met while also building a workforce that is ready for the future.
