Dilip Buildcon Limited (DBL) has been declared the L1 bidder by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) for the development and operation of the 400 kV AIS Yavatmal (Babhulgaon) transmission system in Maharashtra’s Yavatmal district. The project has been awarded through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route and will be implemented on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.
According to the company’s stock exchange disclosure dated September 28, 2026, the project involves the establishment of a 400 kV Air Insulated Substation (AIS) at Yavatmal (Babhulgaon) for the intra-state transmission of electricity. DBL will be responsible for developing and operating the transmission system under the project framework.
The transmission project will have a concession period of 35 years from the Commercial Operation Date (COD), following a 24-month construction period. The project is aimed at strengthening the intra-state power transmission infrastructure in Maharashtra and improving the network for electricity transmission in the region.
The selection of DBL as the successful bidder follows the competitive bidding process conducted by RECPDCL for the transmission project. The company disclosed the development to the BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India Limited in compliance with applicable Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) disclosure requirements.
The project adds to DBL’s presence in the power transmission infrastructure segment and expands its portfolio of projects being developed under the TBCB framework.
