Sunstream Green Energy Pvt. Ltd. has elevated Dilip Kumar to Chief Operating Officer (COO), where he will lead operational strategy and execution across the company’s commercial and industrial renewable energy platform.
In his new role, Kumar will oversee the execution of Sunstream’s growth strategy as the company aims to expand its operating portfolio from approximately 250 MW currently to 1 GW by 2028.
Kumar brings more than two decades of experience in renewable energy and industrial leadership. His career includes senior positions at Rockwell Automation, SMA Solar India and FLSmidth, giving him experience across technology, operations and the renewable energy sector.
He also has extensive hands-on experience in solar asset management. Kumar has overseen operations and maintenance (O&M) activities for more than 2 GW of solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity, adding significant operational expertise to his strategic leadership experience.
Sunstream said Kumar’s combination of strategic experience and practical knowledge of solar asset operations will support the company’s next phase of expansion. His appointment comes as the company seeks to scale its commercial and industrial renewable energy platform and strengthen execution across its growing portfolio.
With the target of reaching 1 GW of operating capacity by 2028, Kumar’s responsibilities as COO will include driving operational performance, project execution and the delivery of Sunstream’s expansion plans.
