EDF Power Solutions India has appointed Vineet Taneja as Head – Business Development & Commercials, Renewables, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to expand its renewable energy business in India.
Taneja brings more than a decade of experience in the renewable energy sector, with expertise spanning business development, commercial strategy, project growth and market expansion.
Before joining EDF Power Solutions India, Taneja was associated with Gentari India, where he worked in a business development role. Earlier, he was with BrightNight India Pvt. Ltd., leading business development initiatives, and also served with SB Energy (SoftBank Group).
Taneja also spent nearly four years with Sembcorp Green Infra Limited, where he held leadership roles across business development and commercial functions. His diverse experience across leading renewable energy companies has given him significant exposure to project development, commercial structuring and strategic growth opportunities in the sector.
Academically, Taneja holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).
His appointment comes at a time when India’s renewable energy sector is witnessing rapid growth, driven by increasing investments in solar, wind, hybrid and other clean-energy projects. With his extensive industry experience, Taneja is expected to contribute to EDF Power Solutions India’s business development and commercial strategy and support the company’s growth ambitions in the Indian renewables market.
