EnerVenue Appoints Rahul Mehta as Chief Revenue Officer to Drive Global Energy Storage Expansion

EnerVenue Names Rahul Mehta as Chief Revenue Officer to Drive Global Energy Storage Expansion

EnerVenue Holdings Ltd., a provider of grid-scale energy storage systems, has appointed Rahul Mehta as its Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) as the company seeks to accelerate the global commercialisation and deployment of its fourth-generation Aqueous Metal Cell (AMC) technology.

Based in Singapore, Mehta will lead EnerVenue’s global commercial operations, overseeing marketing, business development, sales, project delivery and long-term customer services. His appointment comes as the company scales up manufacturing capacity and aims to expand the deployment of its energy storage technology across international markets.

Mehta brings more than 15 years of experience in the global power and energy sector, with expertise spanning commercial strategy, sales leadership and the delivery of complex energy solutions. Before joining EnerVenue, he served as Vice President of Sales for Asia-Pacific at Fluence. He has also held roles at Hitachi Energy and ABB.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, and a doctorate from the National University of Singapore.

Commenting on the appointment, Henning Rath, CEO of EnerVenue, said Mehta joins the company at a time when its manufacturing scale-up is aligning with growing commercial demand. He added that Mehta’s industry experience, market knowledge and customer relationships will help the company strengthen its global commercial organisation and convert interest in its technology into deployed projects.

Mehta said the energy industry is undergoing a significant transformation, with energy storage playing a central role in supporting the transition. While lithium-ion technology continues to dominate the market, he noted that evolving customer requirements around safety, cycle life and operational flexibility are creating opportunities for alternative battery chemistries.

EnerVenue is currently completing a 250 MWh production line at its high-volume manufacturing facility in Changzhou, China. The company plans to expand the facility’s capacity to 1 GWh as part of its broader manufacturing scale-up.

The expansion is supported by a US$300 million extension of EnerVenue’s Series B financing round, which closed in early 2026. The funding is expected to support the company’s near- and mid-term manufacturing capacity and enable it to respond to growing demand for large-scale energy storage solutions.

Mehta’s mandate will be to build a global commercial pipeline capable of matching the company’s expanding manufacturing capacity and converting that pipeline into operational energy storage projects.

EnerVenue’s fourth-generation AMC technology is already being deployed at a site operated by Towngas near Changzhou. Operational since November 2025, the project combines on-site renewable energy generation with electric bus charging.

The facility demonstrates the deep-cycling capabilities of AMC technology, with the system charging and discharging continuously over two-to-four-hour periods to align with electricity demand and help reduce energy costs.

The deployment serves as an early example of the type of energy storage application EnerVenue aims to scale globally as it expands its manufacturing footprint and strengthens its commercial organisation under Mehta’s leadership.
