Evren has signed a 750 MW Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC for a portfolio of solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects to be developed across Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan. The agreement represents one of the largest renewable energy project awards by capacity in India and marks another significant milestone in the company’s clean energy growth journey.
The latest project reaffirms Evren as one of the fastest-growing renewable energy platforms in India. The company has a current project pipeline of 11GW, with over 3.5GW under construction across solar, wind and battery energy storage projects. It illustrates the company’s ongoing commitment to growing renewable energy capacity and supporting the nation’s transition to sustainable power generation.
On commissioning, the 750 MW project will generate around 2.5 billion units of clean power annually and reduce almost 1.8 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year. The project is expected to help India’s clean energy transition and long-term decarbonisation objectives by providing reliable renewable power at scale.
Commenting on the development, Suman Kumar, CEO of Evren, said, “Securing this 750 MW PPA reflects the scale, quality, and execution capabilities Evren has built over time. With an 11 GW pipeline portfolio, including over 3.5 GW under construction across solar, wind, and battery energy storage, we are well positioned to deliver reliable, sustainable power at scale and serve as a long-term partner to customers.”
The new PPA is testimony to Evren’s ongoing momentum in building out its renewable energy platform. By combining utility-scale renewable power generation with battery energy storage, the company aims to provide reliable clean energy solutions in response to India’s rising need for sustainable and reliable electricity.
