Exide Energy Solutions Limited has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Sandeep Pandey as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective August 6, 2026. Pandey will report to Pravin Saraf, Managing Director and CEO, as the company continues to build a future-ready organisation and strengthen its people leadership. The appointment was announced internally by the company.
Pandey brings more than three decades of experience across human resources, industrial relations, talent management, organisational development and HR strategy. Before joining Exide Energy Solutions, he held senior HR leadership roles at Nuvoco Vistas Corp. His earlier career includes HR leadership experience with TDK India, Aditya Birla Group, Bosch India, Kohler India, Lafarge India and ACC.
His professional experience spans people strategy, organisational development, industrial relations and building high-performing teams across large manufacturing businesses. This background gives Pandey experience across complex organisational environments and workforce-focused business transformation.
At Exide Energy Solutions, Pandey is expected to take charge of the company’s human resources function, with his experience particularly relevant as the business continues to expand its presence in India’s energy storage sector. HR industry coverage has highlighted his background in strategic workforce planning, organisational capability building and people-focused transformation.
The appointment also marks a leadership transition within the company’s HR function. Pradeep R, who previously held the role, has decided to pursue an opportunity outside Exide Energy Solutions after his tenure with the organisation. The company has thanked Pradeep for his contributions and wished him success in his future endeavours.
Pandey’s appointment comes at a time when India’s energy-storage industry is expanding rapidly, requiring companies to build specialised talent, strengthen organisational capabilities and prepare their workforce for increasingly technology-intensive manufacturing operations.
With his extensive experience across manufacturing, industrial relations, talent management and HR strategy, Pandey’s new role places him at the centre of Exide Energy Solutions’ people and organisational agenda as the company works towards its next phase of growth.
Importantly, the announcement does not disclose any specific new HR programme, hiring target, investment figure or organisational restructuring plan associated with Pandey’s appointment. The confirmed development is his appointment as CHRO, effective August 6, and his reporting line to Pravin Saraf.
For Exide Energy Solutions, the appointment adds an experienced HR leader with a long track record across major manufacturing and industrial organisations. His experience in industrial relations, talent management, organisational development and HR strategy is particularly relevant as the company operates in the fast-growing energy-storage and manufacturing ecosystem.
Sandeep Pandey appointment is expected to strengthen Exide Energy Solutions’ people and organisational capabilities as the company advances its growth in India’s expanding energy-storage and manufacturing landscape.
