Hexa Climate has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with CESC Limited to supply 100 MW of Interstate Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid power. The agreement was awarded through CESC’s tariff-based competitive bidding process, which invited bids for a total of 600 MW of wind-solar hybrid capacity.
As part of the agreement, the project will have a contracted capacity of 100 MW. The renewable energy facility will include 50 MW of solar capacity and 100 MW of wind capacity, which will enable it to deliver a stable and reliable hybrid power supply. The project will be developed in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, a region with strong renewable energy resources.
PPA has been signed at a fixed tariff of ₹3.75 per kWh for a period of 25 years. The tariff has also been approved by the West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission (WBERC), ratifying the long-term power supply arrangement. The project is expected to achieve the declared Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) of 50% at the delivery point, showcasing the operational efficiency of integrating wind and solar energy generation.
Hexa Climate expressed thanks to the CESC team for their cooperation during the bidding and agreement process. The company also credited the commitment of its internal team to successfully reach this important milestone.
This project is another major milestone in Hexa Climate’s journey to expand its renewable energy portfolio across India, and through a mix of wind, solar, and hybrid energy assets, the company aims to provide reliable, clean power to the national grid and help utilities and corporate customers to achieve their sustainability goals with affordable renewable energy solutions.
