Mahindra has revealed plans to set up 250 electric vehicle charging stations equipped with 180 kW chargers, adding more than 1,000 charging points to its Charge_IN network by the end of 2027.
The company launched its first two Charge_IN stations on Monday—one at Hoskote on NH 75 along the Bengaluru–Chennai highway and another in Murthal on NH 44, about 50 kilometers from Delhi. Each station includes two ultra-fast chargers capable of powering four electric vehicles at the same time.
The network will rely solely on 180 kW dual-gun chargers designed for electric four-wheelers. As per Mahindra’s specifications, these chargers can recharge the company’s eSUV lineup from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes.
Nalinikanth Gollagunta, Chief Executive Officer of Mahindra’s Automotive Division, said “the initiative is intended to build an accessible charging ecosystem for all EV users and strengthen customer confidence in long-distance electric mobility.”
The charging stations will be strategically located along key highway corridors and paired with amenities such as restaurants and cafes. Mahindra eSUV owners will be able to access the network via the Me4U app, while EV owners from other brands can use the Charge_IN by Mahindra app or third-party aggregators.
Mahindra’s customers currently have access to around 34,000 public charging points from multiple operators through the Me4U app, which will now include the Charge_IN network.
This expansion supports government efforts to enhance India’s public EV charging infrastructure and accelerate nationwide electric vehicle adoption.
