ML System is set to expand its footprint in the energy storage market through a new partnership that includes the formation of a special purpose vehicle (SPV) within four months of signing the agreement. The planned energy storage systems will serve a wide range of applications, including households, businesses, large photovoltaic (PV) installations, and grid infrastructure.
The collaboration will also enhance ML System’s technological capabilities, allowing the company to introduce innovative energy storage solutions and further strengthen its product portfolio. CEO Edyta Stanek highlighted that many of ML System’s recent projects involving building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) or PV modules have already incorporated energy storage components.
Golen Energy will provide energy storage technologies, including systems for connecting and managing the facilities. On the other hand, ML System will secure distribution channels, production infrastructure and energy management systems dedicated to BIPV and PV solutions.
ML System anticipates that by 2026, revenue from its operations could reach EUR 20 million (USD 22.7 million) net, subject to various influencing factors and prevailing market conditions. The system’s value is expected to comprise 60% components produced within the European Union.
One of ML System’s recent ventures in energy storage includes a contract worth PLN 16 million (approximately USD 4.2 million or EUR 3.7 million) to build a 2-MW solar farm for a hospital in Przeworsk, a town in southeastern Poland.
Specializing in Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), ML System offers a contemporary alternative to traditional building materials. Its product range also features standard photovoltaic modules, innovations aligned with the smart city vision, and specialized glass for the automotive industry.
