The National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) and Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen India’s green hydrogen ecosystem and accelerate the adoption of Fuel-Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs) across the country.
The MoU was exchanged in the august presence of Shri Pralhad Joshi, Hon’ble Union Minister for New & Renewable Energy, and Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon’ble Minister of State for New & Renewable Energy.
The agreement was formally exchanged between Dr. Mohammad Rihan, Director General, NISE, and Mr. Vikram Gulati, Country Head & EVP, Corporate Affairs & Governance, TKM.
The ceremony was graced by key dignitaries, including Shri Santosh Sarangi, Secretary, MNRE, and Shri Abhay Bakre, Mission Director, National Green Hydrogen Mission, along with senior officers and executives from MNRE, NISE, and TKM.
The collaboration marks a major step toward enabling real-world demonstrations of FCEVs under diverse Indian conditions ranging from climate and traffic to driving patterns and fuel quality, supporting long-term national ambitions under the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
