PHOT1 ENERGY has announced the supply of its largest 5.6 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications. The system has been developed with a focus on energy storage performance, safety, efficiency and intelligent energy management.
The 5.6 MWh BESS features a 100% indigenous technology stack, covering key components across the battery storage system. The solution integrates an advanced Battery Management System (BMS), high-performance battery modules, liquid cooling, HVAC and chiller systems, an integrated container solution and a container-level Energy Management System (EMS).
The battery system has been designed as an integrated solution for C&I energy storage applications. Its architecture brings together battery modules, thermal management and energy management components within the containerised system.
Integrated Battery Management and Cooling Systems
The BESS incorporates an advanced BMS for battery management, alongside high-performance battery modules. The system also includes a liquid cooling mechanism, supported by HVAC and chiller systems for thermal management.
Thermal management is an integral part of the system architecture, with the liquid cooling, HVAC and chiller systems incorporated into the solution. These components are designed to support the operating requirements of the battery storage system.
Containerised Energy Storage Solution
PHOT1 ENERGY’s 5.6 MWh system is configured as an integrated container solution, bringing the major storage and system-management components together within a containerised platform.
The system also incorporates a container-level EMS, enabling energy management at the container level. The EMS forms part of the system’s overall architecture for intelligent energy management.
Indigenous Technology Stack
According to PHOT1 ENERGY, the BESS has been developed using a 100% indigenous technology stack. The company has positioned the system for C&I applications while highlighting its focus on performance, safety and efficiency.
The 5.6 MWh deployment represents the company’s largest BESS supply to date for the C&I segment. The solution is also described as being designed to meet global standards, with the company highlighting its “Made in India. Made for the World.” positioning.
The system combines battery modules, BMS, liquid cooling, HVAC and chiller systems, container integration and container-level EMS into a single energy storage platform for C&I applications.
