Statiq Launches Portable 3.3 kW EV Charger to Address Home Charging Gaps in India New Delhi: Statiq has introduced a portable electric vehicle (EV) charger equipped with IC-CPD technology, aimed at improving access to convenient and safe charging solutions amid the rapid growth of EV adoption in India. Designed for Accessibility and Everyday Use The newly launched charger, rated at 3.3 kW AC output, is compatible with standard 16A three-pin sockets, eliminating the need for dedicated installation. With adjustable current settings ranging from 6A to 16A, the device allows users to optimize charging based on household electrical capacity and grid conditions. India’s EV sales have crossed 2 million units in FY25, yet home charging access remains limited to around 55%, highlighting a key infrastructure gap. Statiq’s portable solution is positioned to bridge this divide by enabling users to charge vehicles at home, during travel, or at alternate locations without complex setup. Advanced Safety and Smart Features The portable charger integrates multiple safety features, including residual current protection (RCD Type-B), over-temperature safeguards, and leakage current protection. It is rated IP66 for dust and water resistance, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments such as parking areas and balconies. Additional features include a real-time LED display that provides charging data such as voltage, current, and power consumption, along with a 12-hour timer function that allows users to schedule charging during off-peak hours. The IC-CPD control box is engineered for durability, capable of withstanding 1-meter drops and up to 2-ton run-over pressure. Industry Perspective and Leadership Commentary Speaking on the launch, Akshit Bansal, Founder & CEO, Statiq, said, “Most EV owners in India still worry about two things: where they will charge and whether their home sockets can handle it safely. Our new portable EV charger with IC-CPD has been designed to solve both of these concerns in one product.” Raghav Arora, Co-Founder & CTO, Statiq, added, “From an engineering perspective, we wanted to build a portable charger that is as smart and robust as a wall-mounted unit, but far more flexible.” Pricing, Availability, and Expansion Plans The charger is available at an introductory price of ₹14,999 and comes with a two-year warranty. It can be purchased through Statiq’s official platforms and e-commerce channels. The launch aligns with Statiq’s broader expansion strategy, supported by a recent $18 million funding round and a growing network of over 10,000 chargers across 100+ cities, with plans to reach 20,000 installations by 2026.

Designed for Accessibility and Everyday Use

The new charger, which has a 3.3 kW AC output, works with standard 16A three-pin sockets, so you don’t need to install it separately. With adjustable current settings ranging from 6A to 16A, the device allows users to optimize charging based on household electrical capacity and grid conditions.

India’s electric vehicle (EV) sales have gone over 2 million units in FY25, but only about 55% of homes can charge them, which shows a major infrastructure gap. Statiq’s portable solution can help close this gap by letting people charge their cars at home, on the go, or in other places without having to set up complicated systems.

Advanced Safety and Smart Features

The portable charger has a number of safety features built in, such as residual current protection (RCD Type-B), over-temperature protection, and leakage current protection. It has an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance, so it can be used both inside and outside, like on balconies and in parking lots.

A real-time LED display shows charging data like voltage, current, and power consumption. There is also a 12-hour timer function that lets users set charging times for times when electricity is less expensive. The IC-CPD control box is built to last, able to handle drops of up to 1 metre and pressure of up to 2 tonnes.

The launch fits with Statiq’s bigger plan to grow. They recently raised $18 million and now have over 10,000 chargers in more than 100 cities. They plan to have 20,000 installations by 2026.
