SUGS Lloyd Limited has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) from Marshal Enterprises for undertaking power distribution infrastructure works in Punjab. The order is valued at approximately ₹213.48 crore, including GST.
The project is scheduled to be completed within 15 months from the date of the Letter of Award. The contract will involve execution of power distribution infrastructure works in the state, adding to SUGS Lloyd’s project portfolio in the power infrastructure segment.
Under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), the contract covers the remaining supply and installation work for high-tension (HT) and low-tension (LT) infrastructure loss reduction projects. It includes Gurdaspur Circle, which covers Pathankot District, with an award value of around ₹123.60 crore, and Faridkot Circle, which covers Moga District, with an award value of about ₹89.88 crore.
Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) first gave Marshal Enterprises these projects. The remaining work will be completed back-to-back by SUGS Lloyd as a subcontractor. PSPCL’s approval of the company’s appointment is confirmed by the Letter of Award.
Plant and material supply, installation, supervision, testing, and commissioning are all included in the scope, which is bolstered by the deployment of the necessary personnel, equipment, and machinery. The primary contracts’ specifications, quality criteria, and milestones shall be adhered to.
During the execution period, the award is anticipated to boost revenue visibility and strengthen the company’s order book. It also shows how effectively the company operates in the RDSS project. This project offers SUGS Lloyd the chance to increase its footprint in Punjab and bolster its reputation for upcoming electricity distribution initiatives. The underlying initiatives seek to enhance the covered areas’ electrical distribution network and lower distribution losses.
