Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Ltd said it has secured an order worth ₹228.26 crore from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited, strengthening its position in India’s power transmission equipment segment.

According to the company’s regulatory filing, the order includes the supply of six transformers and two reactors for GETCO’s transmission network projects. The execution timeline for the contract is scheduled up to August 2028.

The Ahmedabad-based company is engaged in the manufacturing of power transformers, distribution transformers, and specialty transformers catering to utilities and industrial customers. The latest order adds to the company’s growing order book amid rising investments in India’s power transmission and grid infrastructure sector.

Industry experts believe that increased renewable energy integration and expansion of transmission networks across states are driving demand for high-capacity transformers and related equipment. Utilities such as GETCO have been ramping up infrastructure development to strengthen grid reliability and support future power demand.

Following the announcement, shares of Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Ltd were trading at ₹310.95 on the BSE, up 1.93 per cent from the previous close.
