Transformers & Rectifiers India reported an 8 percent year-on-year increase in revenue for the first quarter of FY27, supported by robust demand from the power and renewable energy sectors. The company also recorded its highest-ever order inflows and a record unexecuted order book, providing strong visibility for future growth.
Revenue from operations rose to ₹572.34 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with ₹529 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The company’s EBITDA stood at ₹109.65 crore, translating into an EBITDA margin of 19.16 percent, while profit after tax (PAT) came in at ₹64.34 crore.
Transformers & Rectifiers India said revenue growth during the quarter was impacted by lower capacity utilisation at its Changodar manufacturing facility, where expansion work is currently underway. The company is investing around ₹150 crore in the project, which is expected to be completed by August 2026. Once operational, the expanded facility is expected to significantly enhance production capacity.
The company’s order inflows surged 218 percent year-on-year to ₹2,114 crore, reflecting sustained demand across India’s transmission and power infrastructure sectors. As of June 30, 2026, TARIL’s unexecuted order book reached a record ₹6,630 crore, marking a 26 percent increase over the previous year.
TARIL also reported a strong enquiry pipeline of approximately ₹23,000 crore, driven by investments in power transmission, renewable energy integration, industrial expansion, and export opportunities.
To strengthen its manufacturing capabilities, the company is advancing strategic growth initiatives, including backward integration projects worth ₹900–1,000 crore and the development of three greenfield manufacturing facilities at Chiyada. These investments are aimed at improving operational efficiency and supporting long-term growth.
Commenting on the results, Satyen J. Mamtora, Managing Director and CEO of TARIL, said the company has started FY27 on a steady note, backed by healthy project execution and sustained demand from the power sector.
He added that the company’s record order book and strong order inflows provide solid revenue visibility for the coming quarters. Mamtora also noted that while the Changodar expansion temporarily affected revenue growth, it will substantially enhance manufacturing capacity once completed.
Looking ahead, TARIL expects continued investments in power transmission, renewable energy, and grid modernisation to drive demand for advanced transformer solutions, positioning the company to benefit from India’s expanding energy infrastructure.
