Triveni Engineering & Industries Limited (TEIL) has appointed Vivek Viswanathan as an Additional Director, designated as Whole-time Director and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP), for a five-year term effective August 1, 2026, subject to approval by shareholders at the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting.
The appointment follows the successful amalgamation of Sir Shadi Lal Enterprises Limited (SSEL) with Triveni Engineering under a Composite Scheme of Arrangement and is aimed at strengthening the company’s leadership as it integrates expanded operations.
Viswanathan brings over two decades of experience in the sugar and distillery sector. Prior to joining TEIL, he served as Joint Managing Director of SSEL, where he led manufacturing operations, supply chain management, cost optimisation initiatives, business turnaround efforts, and the execution of strategic growth programmes.
In his new role, he will be responsible for supporting the integration of TEIL and SSEL operations, driving operational excellence, accelerating synergies, and enhancing overall business performance across the combined entity.

Viswanathan is an alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, the International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi, and Columbia University, New York.
