Volks Energie has declared that it has won its second contract with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) on a cumulative solar power and lithium-ion battery (storage) project. This latest deal entails the introduction of a solar energy system with lithium-ion batteries and charging equipment along the pipeline of BPCL in Irugur-Devangonthi, located in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. It is in the line of a similar project that had been granted earlier in the case of pipelines in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
This solar and storage system will back up the required pipeline control stations and other infrastructure away from the grid. It will provide the sustained functionality of systems that are of a critical nature, such as SCADA, cathodic protection, and other equipment that requires energy and is far away along a pipeline.
“This project is a key milestone for VolksEnergie, reinforcing our expanding role in delivering solar and battery storage solutions for the oil and gas sector while contributing to India’s sustainable energy future,” said a company representative.
Volks Energie is one of the major suppliers of energy stores and HVAC solutions in India and solar energy technologies. Products and services provided by the company are numerous and all-encompassing: Ni-Cd batteries (last 4X longer than VRLA), lithium-ion batteries, battery chargers, HVAC systems that are specially designed to work in both industrial and harsh environments, and solar energy solutions whose scale can be adjusted to both industrial and residential uses.
Volks Energie is also about innovation and sustainability, and it provides the latest energy solutions based on the specific requirements of various industries. By placing emphasis on the area of next-generation battery technologies, off-grid solar power projects, and international growth, Volks Energie is looking to position itself as a globally present energy storage and green energy generator.
