Waaree Energies, one of India’s leading solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturers, has announced the award of two significant solar module supply contracts in India and the United States, marking a major step in its domestic and global market expansion.
According to regulatory filings, the company has secured an order to supply 210 MW of Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) solar modules for renewable power projects in India. This contract is slated for execution in the financial year 2026–27, with deliveries planned under the country’s domestic manufacturing policy framework.
In parallel, Waaree Solar Americas Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Waaree Energies, has secured a 2,000 MW solar module supply order from a renowned developer and owner‑operator of utility‑scale solar and energy storage projects across the United States. These modules are expected to be supplied over the period from 2028 to 2030, reflecting growing demand for clean energy equipment in North American markets.
The combined award of 2.21 GW of solar module contracts underscores Waaree’s expanding footprint in both domestic and international renewable energy supply chains. With its large‑scale manufacturing capabilities, the company continues to build momentum in fulfilling orders aligned with global decarbonisation goals.
Waaree Energies has positioned itself as one of India’s largest solar module producers by installed capacity, enabling it to cater to diverse project requirements at scale. The company’s strategic emphasis on DCR‑eligible manufacturing for Indian renewable projects supports national policy objectives, while its U.S. export orders highlight increasing confidence in Indian solar manufacturing on the global stage.
Industry analysts note that the U.S. order book reflects broader confidence in Waaree’s ability to meet stringent quality and delivery standards for utility‑scale installations, and the India contract supports local content development in line with government priorities.
The timing of these orders precedes Waaree Energies’ scheduled investor conference call to discuss its third quarter and nine‑month results for FY 2026, indicating strong commercial traction ahead of its financial disclosures.
Overall, these major module supply agreements bolster Waaree’s strategic position in global clean energy markets and signal growing demand for Indian solar manufacturing prowess.
