Waaree Renewable Technologies Bags EPC Order for 124 MWp Solar Project

Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (WRTL), a subsidiary of Waaree Energies Limited, has received a Letter of Award (LOA) for an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a 124 MWp ground-mounted solar photovoltaic project.

The company announced the order on August 10, 2026. The project has a capacity of 124 MWp on the DC side, equivalent to 88 MWac on the AC side. The project is scheduled to be executed during the financial year 2026-27.

The order has been awarded by a domestic renewable energy solutions company. Waaree Renewable Technologies did not disclose the financial value of the contract or the name of the awarding company.

The project will involve EPC works for the ground-mounted solar PV installation, covering the development and construction of the solar power project as specified under the Letter of Award.

The latest contract adds to Waaree Renewable Technologies’ solar project portfolio as India continues to expand renewable power generation capacity. Large-scale solar projects are expected to remain a key part of the country’s efforts to increase the share of clean energy in its power mix.

According to the company, the contract is being executed on commercial terms and does not involve any related-party transaction. The promoters of Waaree Renewable Technologies also do not have any interest in the entity that awarded the project.

The company disclosed the development under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015. The disclosure is also in line with SEBI’s circular dated January 30, 2026.

Waaree Renewable Technologies, headquartered in Borivali, Mumbai, is engaged in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar power projects and related services. Its parent company, Waaree Energies, is among India’s major solar module manufacturers.

The new 124 MWp project comes as India’s solar sector continues to attract investments across utility-scale and distributed renewable energy projects. Growing solar capacity is also creating demand for associated infrastructure, including power electronics, energy storage and transmission systems.

For EPC companies, the expansion of large-scale solar installations is creating opportunities to secure new projects and strengthen execution pipelines. Waaree Renewable Technologies’ latest order is expected to further expand its project portfolio during FY27.

The company said the project forms part of its broader strategy to expand its presence in India’s renewable energy market and support the country’s transition towards cleaner power generation.
