Websol Energy System Limited has announced fresh business growth after securing three major purchase orders for solar photovoltaic modules. In a disclosure dated February 26, 2026, the company confirmed that it has received orders totalling 85.5 MW, with a combined value of ₹172 crore. Production has already commenced, and deliveries are scheduled for completion by May 2026.
The contracts have been awarded by Bekem Infra Projects, Sri Avantika Contractors, and Kosol Energie.
Managing Director Sohan Lal Agarwal said the new and repeat orders reflect growing confidence in the company’s manufacturing capabilities and product quality. He noted that these engagements further strengthen Websol’s standing in the Indian solar market.
US Tariffs to Have No Impact
The company clarified that recently imposed United States tariffs on solar imports will not impact its operations, as Websol does not export to the US market. This ensures that its production schedules and revenue outlook remain unaffected by global trade developments.
Websol operates from its upgraded seven-acre facility in the Falta Special Economic Zone, West Bengal. The plant has an annual solar cell production capacity of 1,200 MW and a module manufacturing capacity of 550 MW, using advanced Mono PERC technology.
With in-house production of both cells and modules, the company follows an integrated manufacturing model that improves supply chain control and market responsiveness. Websol mostly sells solar cells in India to meet the Domestic Content Requirement standards. Its modules are sold in India and a few other countries, which helps India grow its clean energy sector.
