Atmoce provides residential owners of older photovoltaic systems with a battery retrofit solution from their base in Amsterdam.

Atmoce, the Amsterdam-based renewables company, provides residential owners of older photovoltaic systems with a battery retrofit solution from their base in Amsterdam. The M-ELV battery delivers competitive solutions to homeowners with systems that developed in the era before energy storage systems were widespread approximately ten years ago. The system was built for universal inverter compatibility as a key design element.

The low-voltage lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery from Atmoce functions as a direct connection to residential alternating-current (AC) circuitry. Users need no complex battery integration or hybrid inverter systems. The package comes with a gateway that uses standard metal DIN rail mounting. The M-ELV features three distinct measurement loops targeting electrical consumption and photovoltaic output and storage functions, which deliver accurate real-time monitoring of energy load patterns.

Atmoce declared that low-voltage operation below 30 volts in the M-ELV system enables simple retrofitting of older systems. The battery maintains galvanic isolation from the grid power system even though it receives its power from the household air conditioning circuit directly. The system holds 7 kWh of power storage within each unit. Building electricity storage capabilities reach their maximum potential at 3.75 kVa, while the system becomes capable of handling up to 5 kVa during energy storage operations. This system functions in single-phase as well as three-phase configurations, and its theoretical capacity for expansion reaches 126 kWh.

The Atmoce system demonstrates efficiency performance for charging and discharging operations at 90%. The system holds dimensions of 83 cm in length, 48 cm in width, and 19.5 cm in height while weighing 73.5 kilograms and excelling in IP66 dust and water resistance. The device functions optimally within an operating temperature span spanning from -20 C to 55°C.

Users control the M-ELV system through Atmozen application software, which displays real-time energy flow views. Through its user interface, the app enables users to optimize self-consumption and view real-time electricity production alongside consumption and storage data. The energy storage system from Atmoce comes with a 15-year manufacturer warranty.
