Avaada Electro Limited, the solar manufacturing arm of Avaada Group, has secured enlistment for 7,117 MW (7.117 GW) of N-type Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (TOPCon) solar cell manufacturing capacity under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-II. The enlistment was included in the 13th revision of the list, dated October 28, 2026, and covers the company’s manufacturing facility in Butibori, Maharashtra.
The listing covers the facility’s advanced G12 N-type TOPCon solar cell models. According to manufacturer-declared specifications, the cells offer a maximum efficiency of up to 26.8%, with the highest listed average cell efficiency at 25.89%. The G12 full-cell model has a declared maximum power output of 11.81 watts per cell.
TOPCon Solar Cell Technology
TOPCon technology is designed to improve the conversion of sunlight into electricity. Higher cell efficiency enables solar cells to generate more power from a given surface area, supporting the production of higher-output solar modules and helping optimise land use and installation requirements.
The 7.117 GW annual nameplate capacity listed under ALMM adds to India’s domestic solar cell manufacturing capacity. The Butibori facility is positioned to serve solar module manufacturers, renewable energy developers and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies.
Actual production and saleable output will depend on factors including manufacturing utilisation, production yields and product mix. The ALMM enlistment covers the listed manufacturing capacity and models under the applicable MNRE framework.
