BGauss unveils C12 MaxR, combining performance,

BGauss, a design- and engineering-focused electric mobility company, has introduced the C12 MaxR, its latest-generation electric scooter developed for India’s evolving urban mobility needs. The new model combines performance, durability, extended range, smart utility features and distinctive styling, offering consumers a practical yet technology-driven electric mobility option.

At the heart of the C12 MaxR is BGauss’ WSA Platform, a flexible vehicle architecture engineered to support multiple motor, battery and wheel configurations. Built using high-tensile micro-alloy steel and manufactured through robotic processes, the platform is engineered for a life of up to 150,000 km, providing the foundation for a scooter designed around performance, durability and long-term reliability.

The C12 MaxR is powered by a 3.8 kWh IP67-rated LFP battery, housed in an aluminium enclosure designed to support efficient heat dissipation and thermal management. Its smart Battery Management System incorporates 110 safety and protection features, continuously monitoring critical battery parameters. The combination delivers an IDC-certified range of 178 km, giving riders the confidence to go further on every charge.

Power comes from BGauss’ new HyperZen in-wheel hyperdrive motor platform, delivering 4.2 kW of peak power and a top speed of 75+ km/h. HyperZen integrates the motor, gear transmission, braking system and Motor Control Unit into a compact architecture. Its integrated gear transmission eliminates the need for a conventional belt or chain, while the integrated MCU reduces wiring and packaging complexity, creating an architecture designed to deliver instant torque with lower transmission losses and reduced maintenance requirements.

The C12 MaxR offers Eco, Ride and Sport riding modes, along with reverse mode, cruise control and regenerative braking. With a gradeability of 18±2°, it is engineered to deliver confident performance across varied everyday riding conditions.

Commenting on the launch, Hemant Kabra, Founder, BGauss, said, “Over the last six years, we have been focused on building electric mobility around the Indian consumer, and the C12 MaxR brings that philosophy together in one product. We wanted to create a scooter that delivers on the fundamentals of range, performance and reliability, but also recognises that today’s consumer expects much more from their vehicle. Space, design, lighting, technology and pride of ownership are equally important. The C12 MaxR is our expression of what a complete electric scooter should be. It is engineered for everyday India, while designed to make every ride feel special.”

Through its LifeEasy storage philosophy, the C12 MaxR offers multiple storage solutions designed around everyday needs. The under-seat boot accommodates two helmets, while a pop-out umbrella holder, lockable compartment for documents and wallet, wireless charging, mobile and bottle storage, and a dedicated cleaning-cloth space add practical convenience. The large floorboard also provides space for a medium-sized luggage, giving riders greater flexibility for daily commutes.

The C12 MaxR combines this practicality with a distinctive design and lighting signature. The Krystal Lamp gives the scooter a recognisable front profile while providing bright white illumination, complemented by full LED lighting across the headlamp, tail lamp and indicators. The premium finish and quilted Seat of Pride add considered detailing to the overall design.

The C12 MaxR also brings a comprehensive technology package to the everyday ride. Its 5-inch TFT display offers turn-by-turn navigation, call notifications, ride and charge statistics, user profiles, document storage and multiple display themes. Features including Distance-to-Empty, FallSense, side-stand and main-stand motor cut-off, service reminders, Remember My Mode and Guide My Home further enhance convenience and confidence.

Through the BGauss connected ecosystem, riders can also access features such as Parental Lock, SecureLock, selectable speed modes, profile settings, firmware updates, vehicle health checks, SOS and DigiLocker connectivity.

Engineered for Indian riding conditions, the C12 MaxR features 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, a 220 mm front disc brake, rear CBS braking, hydraulic telescopic front suspension and a five-step adjustable Nitrox gas-emulsion rear suspension. With 160 mm of ground clearance and a standard payload capacity of 150 kg, the scooter is built to handle the demands of everyday urban mobility.

The launch of the C12 MaxR marks another step in BGauss’ evolution as a design and engineering-led electric mobility company, expanding its portfolio with a product that brings together performance and practicality with a more premium and expressive design language.

The BGauss C12 MaxR will be available in Sparkling Wine with Champagne Gold, Terra Green with Champagne Gold, Pearl White and Satin Black across the company’s growing dealership network in India.

Founded in 2020 by Hemant Kabra, BGauss is an Indian electric mobility company operating under the RR Global umbrella, built with a vision to make electric mobility strong, reliable, and accessible for Indian consumers.

Driven by an engineering-led philosophy and a strong focus on rider comfort, safety, and long-term dependability, BGauss develops electric two-wheelers designed specifically for the diverse needs of Indian roads and riding conditions. The company combines intelligent technology, practical design, and service-focused operations to deliver a seamless ownership experience for modern riders.
