The proposed collaboration seeks to combine Evify’s app-based logistics and rider data capabilities with hardware-enabled data acquisition capabilities proposed to be developed and deployed by BikeWo. The companies intend to leverage the resulting data layer with processing and artificial intelligence capabilities to develop applications across fleet operations, route efficiency, rider and asset performance, predictive insights and broader logistics intelligence.
The companies plan to undertake technology pilots to validate data quality, hardware performance, use cases and commercial viability. Over time, the collaboration is intended to explore the development of datasets, models, algorithms and other technology-led solutions that can potentially be deployed across the broader mobility and logistics ecosystem.
As part of the collaboration, BikeWo and Evify also intend to proceed with an initial Phase I deployment targeting approximately 500 electric vehicles for Evify’s logistics operations. Subject to successful implementation of Phase I and mutually agreed commercial and operational arrangements, the companies envisage the potential to scale cumulative deployment to approximately 10,000 electric vehicles over the next three years.
The combination of technology development and fleet deployment is intended to provide the companies with a real-world operating environment to develop, test and progressively scale data-led solutions across electric logistics.
The MoU is aligned with BikeWo’s broader strategy of building an integrated mobility and logistics platform, with technology and data intelligence forming an important layer connecting vehicles, fleets and logistics operations.
Commenting on the development, Hiten Pal Saklani, Chief Executive Officer of BikeWo Green Tech Limited, said: “Technology and data will increasingly determine how efficiently large mobility and logistics fleets are operated. Through our collaboration with Evify, we intend to combine app-based operational data with hardware-enabled data acquisition and artificial intelligence to develop a deeper technology layer for logistics. The proposed vehicle deployment gives us a real-world environment in which these capabilities can be developed and scaled.”
Commenting on the partnership, Devrishi Arora, CEO, Evify Logitech Private Limited, said: “Evify has built its operations around technology-enabled electric logistics. Combining our operational ecosystem and app-based capabilities with BikeWo’s proposed hardware and data capabilities creates an opportunity to develop new intelligence around fleets, riders and logistics operations. We see this collaboration as an important step towards building more technology-driven and scalable electric logistics infrastructure.”
The definitive commercial and technical terms relating to the technology collaboration and vehicle deployment will be documented separately between the parties. The proposed scale-up to approximately 10,000 vehicles represents the parties’ current strategic intent and remains subject to successful implementation of the initial phase, financing availability, vehicle supply and mutually agreed commercial arrangements.
